Transatlantic Talk at Knaresborough Camera Club

I’ll be doing my Transatlantic illustrated talk, covering landscapes from both sides of the Atlantic,  at Knaresborough Camera Club this Wednesday.

The talk includes images from my many trips to the American south west and  a journey through Patagonia interspersed with European landscapes from Iceland to Finland and work from nearer home in England, particularly Yorkshire.  Taken over more than a decade from the mid 90s this is mainly a film-based set of images (from medium and large format cameras) but covers my move to digital capture for landscape in 2005.

Artist Publishers Greetings Cards

I have launched a new range of landscape photography greetings cards via Artist Publishers, starting with four additional Yorkshire designs which I had been planning to add to my Yorkshire Seasons lithographic range for a while.

The cards measure 172x125mm (approx 7x5in) also benefit from FSC accreditation and bar coding.  The retail price is £2.50.  This new format will allow me to add new designs more quickly and will eventually replace the Yorkshire Seasons range.

Wild Planet Launch in Sheffield

The Wild Planet touring exhibition was launched last night in Sheffield, the first city in the North to host the event. The exhibition is a retrospective of the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of The Year competition and comprises 80 natural world images (including my photograph of Antelope Canyon in Arizona).

The evening started with a welcome by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Cllr Alan Law followed by an address by Dr Michael Dixon, Director, Natural History Museum who explained the background of the exhibition and said “Through Wild Planet the Museum aims to give new audiences the opportunity to be inspired by these dramatic images of nature and to take individual responsibility to care for the future of our planet”.

Online Print Sales and PayPal

Due to changes in their payment policy I will no longer be acceptaing online orders for my prints with PayPal.

Beech Trunks

PayPal have changed their payment policy so that I may not receive payment for online print sales for up to 21 days. For a small business it is not possible to offer fine art prints without payment in advance to cover production and shipping costs and so I have had to stop using PayPal.

I will, of course, still be selling prints! Just get in touch if you wish to place an order.

My Landscape Expressions exhibition kicks off with a preview this evening at the beautiful National Trust Treasurer’s House in the heart of York.

Featuring abstract Dales Light and Moving Water limited edition prints and larger Yorkshire Through The Seasons pieces all in handmade oak frames along with a selection of smaller Yorkshire Through The Seasons work including Autumn Impressions and the Summer Sunset series from Whitby.
